You're laying there, and this sensation runs through the entire left side of the body. Then, you know you're on to something. When the sensation does not absorb your attention, or demand an explanation, but instead pulls some unknown or hidden content forward from quiet depths, the sensory fields can become full with possible solutions. In the midst of one such episode, an inflammation, starting in the leg and winding the length of the left body--even my brain throbbed with irritated blood--I felt the presence of solution rising from my depth. The unspoken unheard parts began to speak.
The image of Turmeric (10) of Swords filled the eye of mind, throbbing into awareness so I can hear it's message. We flit from conscious to unconscious to semi-conscious all the time, but when an herb speaks to you by golly, listen!! Turmeric says, he says I'd like to help. Let me nourish your soul, penetrate this weariness ya been carrying in your joints by golly, all these years. I mean, come on!! It's impressive, but shouldn't ya weigh the value of SETTING IT DOWN. I look dead lying here, but I'm only waiting for the dawn."
It was clear to assess, gosh I'll take summa that when I get home. What am I waiting for--the mighty surrendering 10 of Swords is here, and offering me a leg up...or is it a lay down? Gosh I'll take it.
I go home that night, and sure enough warm some milk, dust it with clove, and when the turmeric makes it's way from the cupboard to the pan, this happens....

It swirls a mighty swirl, giving in FULLY. Laying on the back of the milky Moon, supported and given gumption by the Clove (7) of Pentacles, the Turmeric says aaaaaahhhh I'm here to help. I can help ya now, since ya REALLY heard me. Woooooooohooooo. In Tarot, as any of the occult subconscious rousers, that power sits easy in you all of the time. And when we sink in, like really sink in, ask for help and understand the answers are within this glorious pool of the unknown, all we need (like cream rising) comes to the surface to be seen when we need it the most.
Relax and enjoy the calming presence of your own mind. The still and ever-patient genius within
Early Spring Hot Chocolate
2 cups Milk (any milk from teet or nut is fine..I prefer it raaaw)
Speck Clove Powder (dust it!)
1/8 teaspoon Turmeric powder (swirls aren't guaranteed, but possible)
3 Tablespoon Cacao (Strength) powder
1-2 Tablespoons of Maple syrup (or other sweetener of your choice)
Scoop of chocolate chips/hunk chocolate bar, optional
Warm milk, clove, and turmeric together until that turmeric gets tired of making itself known--30 seconds to 2 minutes. Then, add cacao and sweetener. Whisk madly until all the cacao powder is assimilated, changing the color of the milk. Let this heavy substance percolate on low to an even thicker substance, and consider any other spices or talkative flavors that step forward; add those. Optional: add a scoopful of dark chocolate chips, or a hunk off a rich chocolate bar; introduce just to melting and remove from heat.
I recommend this drink on a cold, damp night, when the bones are weary.
